Conversion happens entirely in your browser using open-source libraries (pdf-lib, pdfjs-dist, mammoth, xlsx, docx, turndown, marked, fflate, and ffmpeg.wasm). Nothing is uploaded to a server. Audio and video conversion loads a ~30 MB engine the first time you use it, then it's cached by your browser.
